A harbor town, walkable on foot.
Padanaram sits at the mouth of the Apponagansett River in South Dartmouth, Massachusetts — a tight cluster of historic homes, working harbor, independent shops, and quiet lanes a half-day's drive from Boston.
The bridge is the centerpiece. The harbor is the heartbeat. Everything else — Elm Street, Bridge Street, the small lanes leading down to the water — is just close enough that you can park once and walk the village in an afternoon.

Member-funded since the 1970s.
The Padanaram Business Association was founded in the 1970s by a small group of merchants who wanted a coordinated voice for the village. Linda Hopps has been at the center of its work for decades.
Today the PBA funds the seasonal lights, the post-summer trash assessment, the events that bring neighbors and visitors into the village, and the traditions — like the Buoy Tree — that have become part of the village's identity.
Every member business has a vote and a voice. Decisions are made together.
Board of Directors
The Padanaram Business Association is guided by a dedicated board of directors who serve the village and its member businesses.
